The Jose Sarria Foundation is a volunteer non profit organization dedicated to promoting the legacy of José Julio Sarria. José was a WW2 veteran, the first known openly LGBTQ candidate for public office, a celebrated cabaret performer, a political activist, and the founder of multiple LGBTQ organizations, most notably the International Court System.
Andrew serves as a member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
The Castro LGBTQ Cultural District (CQCD) is committed to preserving, sustaining, and promoting the rich cultural legacy of the Castro and its significance to San Francisco’s LGBTQ+ community and beyond.
Andrew was an early member of the CQCD, and served as the Co-Chair of Outreach & Inclusion Committee.
The mission of AFP Golden Gate is to promote philanthropy and support the effective and ethical work of the diverse community of Bay Area fundraising professionals.
Andrew served as a member of the Board of Directors, and the Co-Chair of the Membership Committee.
The LGBTQ Archive contains material related to LGBTQ life in Madison and Dane County from the 1940s to today. Beginning with only a few oral histories, the collection has grown to include an increasingly diverse array of materials and voices from the LGBTQ community.
Andrew served as the founding Project Manager, building the collection and producing multiple exhibitions.
